Game-Themed Animated Mini-Series

Blizzard Entertainment Launches a New Overwatch Anime Series

Blizzard Entertainment excites fans with a new Overwatch anime miniseries to launch soon. Set for July 6th, the brand will be releasing the three-episode series dubbed 'Genesis.' So far, the title and new trailer suggest to fans that it will highlight the earlier days of the Overwatch task force.

It was originally formed during a global war to fight against robots. The trailer shows a look at humans and robots living together in harmony before an AI rebellion came through and created the Omnic Crisis. Three of the game's heroes are the main features seen in the upcoming new show, which is set to launch before the August drop of the game's sixth season. It features Reinhardt, Torbjörn, Ana, and Mina Liao.
