The market is flush with smart home solutions for indoors, so the D-Link Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug aims to help extend this same connectivity and capability to the outdoor environment. The unit features a weatherproof design with an IP54 rating and a 2.4GHz connection to allow to be easily connected to a WiFi network for easy control via the accompanying smartphone app. The plug has two traditional outlets along with a USB port that will allow for charging when spending extended periods of time outdoors or even to power up additional exterior solutions.
The D-Link Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug provides support for the Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice assistants, and even works with If-This-Then-That (IFTTT) protocols.
