Class-1 Electric Bikes

Ibis Cycles Launched the 'Oso' E-Bike with a Unique Frame Design

Ibis Cycles launched its latest electric bicycle, the 'Oso.' The Oso is a class-1 electric bicycle, meaning its top speed is manually limited to 20 miles per hour when on electric pedal assistance mode. The bike features a 250-watt motor and a powerful 625 Wh battery that results in a range that exceeds 60 miles on a single charge, though this will vary greatly based on the riding conditions, such as on or off-road and uphill or flat ground.

Aside from its drivetrain, though, the Oso boasts a unique frame design, which is most apparent at the rear gear, where the majority of the components have been intricately packed into one section of the bike. Additionally, the angle of the bars and tubes on the frame is far from traditional, with a backward-angled seat and a raised central bar.

The Oso is available now at an MSRP of $10,999 USD.
