The Origami boat designed by Matteo Signorini is a slick little sailboat that folds up after use. The boat was the overall winner of the Concept Boat 2006 competition in the Concept and Design category.
Implications - The Origami boat is three-meters long, made out of flat sheets of plastic and can carry the weight of one adult. The boat is extremely lightweight, which makes for speedy sailing. The boat is totally safe and can be used on a daily basis if one wishes. After use, the folded-up boat is the size of a surfboard and can easily be carried and takes up very little space when stored.
