Ola Electric has launched two high-tech but affordably priced electric scooters targeted towards the Indian market. The company aims for the 'Ola S1' and the 'Ola S1 Pro' to become the go-to scooter for Indian citizens, replacing the popular gas-powered bikes that are currently responsible for 40% of the country's air pollution.
Made in Ola Electric's massive mega factory, which plans to produce 10 million vehicles a year, the 'Ola S1' and 'Ola S1 Pro' were designed for the everyday commuter and come with a cheaper price tag than most standard gas-powered units. In addition, they offer exceptional performance. Equipped with an 8.5 kW motor the S1 model is capable of taking its drivers to speeds of 90 km/h, while the S1 Pro can reach 115 km/h.
Considering India is one of the largest two-wheeler markets in the world, the fact that Ola Electric has produced a superior electric model priced for the mass population is major breakthrough and pivotal moment for the future of eco-friendly transportation.
