Built on the side of a vast rolling cliff on the coast of California, the Off-Grid Guest House was designed to preserve the integrity of its natural surroundings while still offering a uniquely modern structure.
Capturing all of the beautiful views in each room, the design team created exterior walls that are constructed almost completely of glass windows. The roof features a flat design that is topped with eco-friendly native greens that help the home blend into the landscape while also naturally heating the structure. The entire structure was constructed from sustainable materials, operating on its own water, photovoltaic and sewage systems. The interior offers clean lines and a bright color scheme to make all guest feel comfortable as they look out at the expansive views.
