Lantern-Like Seating

Object-O by Seung Yong Song Provides Privacy Whimsically

Object-O by Seung Yong Song, a designer based in Seoul, South Korea, is a privacy-providing piece of furniture that is just as whimsical as it is practical. The first thing that might come to mind when gazing at its form is a traditional Chinese lantern. This is due in large part to the enclosure that wraps around the seat. What makes this detail so great, however, is not necessarily its looks. It easily lifts up when the sitter wants to rejoin society without losing his or her seat.

Simple yet bold, Object-O by Seung Yong Song has a lightweight appeal in spite of the space that it takes up. Interestingly, the chair could easily act as a very large lamp as well since a bulb is cleverly incorporated into its design.
