Egyptian Obelisks-Inspired Lighting

Virginia Sin Introduces the OBEL Collection of Light

Virginia Sin is a designer based in Brooklyn and since she's launched her home goods brand SIN in 2007, it has garnered positive impressions -- the OBEL collection does not fall short. It is comprised of lighting options and the new launches take centuries-old traditions into a modern form.

It is made with inspiration from Egyptian obelisks in a way that is artfully sculptural. It turns the monumental geometry of the hand-sewn craft in an angle which reimagines the forms into sculptural table lamps. These are grounded in architectural themes and it made using a hand-building process to truly honor the beauty of clay. This is also the first time that the brand is unveiling shaded designs.
