There are practical pieces of furniture and then there are stylish pieces of practical furniture such as the Nokori Folding Chair. It takes the classic collapsible seating model and turns it into a luxe item that anyone would be proud to open up in front of a large party of guests. In fact, people might have them on display already. At $500 a pop, who wouldn't want to use the Nokori Folding Chair on a daily basis.
Designed by Tanner Goods, the Nokori Folding Chair is inspired by mid-century design aesthetics. Made out of fine mahogany wood and heavy 13-ounce English bridle leather, the frames are routed, sanded and finished by hand in Portland, Oregon, by one of the studio's own craftspeople, Eddie Miranda.
