Noise-Filtering Helmets

This Motorcycle Helmet Reduces External Sounds While Riding

The Sena motorcycle helmet is a piece of noise-filtering technology that reduces unwanted and distracting sounds while riding.

This motorcycle helmet cancels out unwanted and potentially distracting noise bandwidths through the use of four special hidden microphones built into the helmet. The microphones intercept sound and -- using noise-filtering technology -- are able to transmit specific sound wave patterns. With this system, highway noise is lowered below a harmful decibel level that could potentially cause damage to a rider's hearing.

These special helmets are also constructed from carbon fiber material, come in a variety of colors and best of all, still keep riders aware of their surrounding environment. Their embedded microphones still allow for important sounds like horns and sirens to filter through, and an "ambient mode" can be turned on that actually improves hearing while wearing the helmet.
