Mixed Reality Roller Coasters

'The New Revolution Galaxy Attack' will Use Samsung Gear VR Headsets

As if roller coaster weren't exciting enough on their own, 'The New Revolution Galaxy Attack' is bringing an even more thrilling experience to the daring theme park rides. Slated to open at multiple Six Flags locations in the US, the roller coaster is a mixed reality ride that combines physical jolts of speed and looping turns with a virtual reality experience provided by Samsung.

To ride The New Revolution Galaxy Attack, guests at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in San Francisco (the first two locations to open the ride) will need to don a Samsung Gear VR headset. Then, as the physical ride begins, those guests will be taken on a virtual experience in which they battle to save the world from an impending alien invasion.
