The new iPad mini has been unveiled by Apple as a solution for consumers that sits somewhere in the middle between smartphones and larger tablets to offer a mobile-friendly way to get work done out of the house.

Compatible with the Apple Pencil, the tablet features the A12 Bionic Chip that is reported to be up to three-times faster than previous models and capable of handling advanced machine learning capabilities. Different model varieties include WiFi and WiFi + LTE, which will allow for connectivity in over 180 countries to make it a travel-friendly solution for consumers that takes up minimal space in luggage.

The new iPad mini has also been outfitted with a new camera that can capture 1080p content to satisfy prosumers seeking higher-grade capabilities.
