Podcasts are the latest social phenomena that retailers are leveraging, and a perfect example of this integration is New Amsterdam Vodka's branded podcast, which was created in collaboration with Spotify.
This use of this new entertainment medium started after the vodka brand created its Pour Out Your Soul campaign. In light of its success, this new podcast will invite listeners to learn about all-things vodka. The podcast will star Jasmine Solano, the brand's ambassador. Each episode the host will sit down with different hip-hop artists to chat about music while enjoying vodka drinks. Each episode ends with the pair discussing a new vodka-based recipe.
In an official statement the brand claimed that "just as we do with music, we see podcasts as another avenue to connect our advertising partners with audiences and, through our deep understanding of our users, help brands show up in the right way.”
