Paralympic's New 3D Logo is Literally Lovely

The Paralympics has introduced its new 3D logo, which resembles an off-center 3D heart. The logo comes in time for the eagerly anticipated 2016 games held in Rio, Brazil. This new logo is 3D so that every competitor can enjoy it, regardless of their disability.

The Paralympic games originated in 1948 and was originally tailored for veterans of World War II. The new 3D logo blends reds, oranges and yellows together in a fiery compilation that exhibits the heart behind each competitor. The idea behind this new 3D logo’s design is to incorporate an infinity sign into a heart.

Designers hope that this sculpture will, “Create a brand that could inspire people as much as a Paralympic athlete does through determination and ability to overcome. It is a symbol that reflects not what sets us apart, but what makes us equal, a beating heart with endless energy.”
