Simple and delicate, the Nautica Hanging Chair is a beautiful piece of furniture. Made for the outdoors, it adds a nice pristine touch to foliage-surrounded back patios and front porches.
Designed by Valencia-based studio Mut Design, the Nautica Hanging Chair was inspired by one of the first pieces ever created by Spanish furniture manufacturer Expormim in the 1970s. It is appropriate, then, that it was made for this particular company. Like the original, it re-imagines and reinterprets the use of rattan. The wooden material has been sinuously bent up and down the length of the suspended seat to create a cage-like aesthetic that subtly plays with shadows.
Despite its look, the Nautica Hanging Chair is strong and durable.
