Curvaceous Outdoor Swings

Santiaga Sevillano Designs the NIU Swing with Bright Detail

Santiago Sevillano designs the unique NIU swing for Musola, which is an outdoor piece of furniture that invites those to sit down and just simply relax. The design encourages those to disconnect and be with themselves. In terms of the visual design, it is sleek with a curved structure that keeps the silhouette secure. It looks to be lightweight and the tubular forms are made from stainless steel materials to replicate the feel of real branches.

Sevillano speaks about the design, stating "NIU, which means “nest” in Valencian, refers to the concave shape that birds build. They intertwine branches and grasses to create a safe shelter. Taking this element of nature [into account], we wanted to design a unique and representative piece that fit with the fresh spirit and Mediterranean philosophy of Musola."
