Lava-Infused Tables

'Formafantasma' Creates Distinct Furniture with Lava from Mount Etna

The creatives at Formafantasma have recently made furniture from the lava that exploded from Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy. The designs are a complete experiment into the various forms that one can create through natural earthy elements.

The tables take on this naturalistic look, with a gray color scale being used and clear glass tabletops. The designers have used varying levels for each product, so the tables could be suitable for small coffee table, or even something for the bedside. The entire experiment is also meant to be an exploration into the cultures surrounding the event, as the people at Formafantasma didn't want to overlook individuals who were in the area at the time of the explosion of Mount Etna.
