The Moto Limos Club is bringing the concept of the two-wheeled taxi to American shores this spring. The company has a fleet of Honda Goldwings and Can Am Spyders set to offer the business men and women of New York City and Los Angeles a quicker and arguably more exciting ride to their meetings.
Moto Limos Club is a members-only service that offers upscale amenities like Bluetooth-enabled helmets to its clients. Memberships start at $125 and the hourly rate for a Honda Goldwing is $90. I can see this service being wildly popular in Los Angeles, where the weather is permanently sunny, but New Yorkers may be a hard sell even though the company is promising thick blankets for wintertime riders. Hopefully, other cab companies will be inspired and start offering motorcycle taxis as a low-price alternative as well.
