Google's Morse Code Games Serve Children With Mobility Disabilities

Developed after a 48-hour hackathon, and a partnership with Adaptive Design Association, Google's Morse code games aim to serve children with limited mobility. There are currently five games available, all of which were designed over a period of two days by five teams of game designers and developers. Each of the teams worked with a child with limited mobility, with the children being credited as each game’s creative director as their perspective helped shape the games.

The Morse code games may seem like a strange thing to create, but the use of Morse code allows disabled children to interact with video games in a way that doesn't require tactile or motion controls. This comes from Morse code's simple single input nature and adaptability to a number of scenarios.
