Direct-To-Consumer Vegan Dairy Brand 'Mohjo' Launches in Singapore

Following a successful feed funding round, Mohjo, a dairy-free alternative milk brand, has launched in Singapore with a direct-to-consumer model and a unique brand proposition: to offer consumers a legitimately nutritious, clean-label almond milk.

The impetus for creating Mohjo came from founder Juhi Dang's own personal struggle to find healthy dairy milk alternatives in Singapore. “Most commercially available dairy alternatives are nutrient-low and stabilizer-heavy. They contain 95-98% water, are laced with additives," said Dang in a recent statement. As a result, Dang founded Mohjo and ensured that its first almond milk product was entirely vegan and free from thickeners, stabilizers, artificial sweeteners, and other synthetic chemical ingredients.

However, it shouldn't come as a surprise that innovative, plant-based solutions like Mohjo are gaining ground in the Asian market when recent data has shown that 70% of the East Asian population is lactose intolerant.
