French designer Matali Crasset has crafted this modular couch that is flexible enough in its design to allow for many variations using just a little or a lot of space.
Made for the Italian furniture company Campeggi, the 'Self-Made Seat' was created to be a piece of home furniture that can adapt to the occupant's needs at any given time without commandeering an entire room with its presence. The furniture consists of a series of modular building block pieces that can be utilized as either a series of armchairs, footstools, single seats or an entire three-person couch depending on the user's preference at any given time.
Each piece of this modular couch also comes in a simple orange stripe design that conveniently doubles as an easy-to-carry polypropylene strap handle. The element allows for easy moving or rearranging of the individual sections.
