Located in a residential compound in Kuwait, this modern villa design is unique because it boasts vertical aluminium slats on most of its windows to keep the residents cool in the shade and protected from passersby—and because it looks awesome!

The ‘Lantern House’ house uses aluminum instead of wood for the slats because they are more likely to withstand the heat.

“The aluminum screens around the house provide shade as well as one way views outside,” says architect Gijo Paul George.
