When the Winglet mobility vehicle concept was first introduced nearly a decade ago, it looked like something out of a science fiction movie. Well it appears that the future is here, what with the Winglet being trialed in the Tokyo Waterfront City area of Japan's capital city.
This mobility vehicle is now able to attain a top speed in the region of 6 km/h. What makes it such a joy to ride is the fact that it needs very little effort on the rider's end, as it uses bodyweight detection to change direction.
Ultimately, this mobility vehicle is perfect for use in the tourism industry as a way to take tourists on urban tours. However it also has potential for use a last-mile transportation solution for urban dwellers themselves.
