Israel-based startup Voom recently launched an app offering access to a number of unique mobility insurance plans. These include specialized plans for owners of e-scooters, bikes, boats and more. Raising $5 million in a recent crowd-funding effort, the company describes its insurance model as one that caters to "episodic usage mobility platforms including e-scooters and powersports."
Voom CEO and co-founder Tomer Kashi explains that the platform is a convenient resource for on-the-go coverage that can be accessed via one's mobile device. "Voom will cover claims made by other individuals if a rider collides with them; this includes property damage and will provide personal accident insurance."
Appealing to urban dwellers who prefer two-wheelers to traditional cars, or fans of high-intensity outdoor sports, this specialized mobility insurance offers versatile coverage.
