Just about two years after goCstudio released preliminary designs for its concept mobile sauna, the unit has come to life as a real, usable structure. The floating 'wa_sauna' is a structure that sits atop the water and uses a motor to help it get around. On the inside of the compact unit, there is a wood-burning stove and enough space to comfortably accommodate six friends.
The Seattle-based studio developed this floating sauna for use in nearby lakes. The outer dock-shaped design of the unit doubles as a place for boaters to tie up their vehicles, as well as a way for sauna users to easily get into the water and cool off following a steamy session.
This unique mobile sauna design gives people the chance to enjoy the convenience of man-made designs, while also appreciating the beauty of nature.
