Innisfree has recently introduced POSPi's mobile POS solution at its Grand Hyatt Shanghai location. The system promises to make payments quicker, simpler, and more secure than in the traditional retail environment.
The new mobile POS solution at Innisfree is the product of the collaboration between the cosmetics retailer, POSPi, and the Bank of China. Including the financial institution in the collaboration allows consumers to make purchases on their smartphones from directly within the aisles, removing the need to wait in line at checkout.
With the new system, Innisfree staff are each equipped with a connected scanning tool. When a consumer shopping in the store decides to purchase an item, they can contact any staff member and have them scan that product. Then, staff use the mobile POS device to scan consumers' phones and complete the sale.
