Campus-Based Cylindrical Glass Sculptures

Zeller & Moye Were Commissioned to Create the Mirage

Architecture studio Zeller & Moye are the minds that are behind the Mirage, made in collaboration with artist Katie Paterson. The large sculpture is found at tech giant Apple's campus in California and it is formed from a series of glass cylinders throughout an olive grove by the campus's visitor center at Apple Park, which is also the main area for the company.

Together, Paterson and the team wove hundreds of cast glass cylinders through the grove to create a path. Co-founder of Zeller & Moye, Christoph Zeller speaks about the project, stating that "Visitors experience Mirage by walking along columns that reveal stories of the world's deserts. The sculpture unfolds piece by piece, through gradually shifting color, surface texture and material consistencies."
