The Design of This Mineral Water Bottle Mimics a Nostalgic Glass Shape

Plastic water bottles are commonly associated with being cheap and harmful to the environment, but this mineral water bottle design by seriesnemo reverses some of these negative notions. The intention behind the bottle design was to communicate that even "consumer products can have soul," and connect with shoppers on an emotional level.

This particular design for AQUA is made with PET plastic, natural polypropylene with no added colors. Instead, the slight green tint to the bottle and its shape creates the illusion of glass. To increase sustainability even more, the label on the bottle is printed with only two colors. The shapely plastic bottle design is soft and nostalgic, playing off the look of an authentic glass bottle, but with a much lighter impact on the environment in comparison to other plastic bottles.
