Although preparing a bowl of ice cream after a long hard day at work seems like a very trivial action to perfect, people who actually indulge in this treat on a regular basis will appreciate the Midnight Scoop. A redesigned ice cream scoop created specifically with impossibly hard ice cream in mind, the Midnight Scoop addresses a problem everyone has faced at one point in their lives.

Designed by Michael Chou, an aerospace engineer based in Michigan, the Midnight Scoop focuses on a fundamental problem with existing ice cream scoops. Chou explains, "When you are scooping ice cream with standard ice cream scoops, you are doing a prying motion. This prying motion puts tremendous amounts of stress on your weak wrist joints. Your brain then tries to save your wrists by not letting you pry very hard—thus making scooping ice cream very difficult."
