Curiously Crushing Vases

Mianne de Vries Breaks Down Design with These Containers

In the case of the latest design by Mianne de Vries the use of destruction can be the maker of beauty. Deemed the 'Curious' Vase, the actual design consists of several vases inside each other. This smashing idea was created by the Dutch designer Mianne de Vries, a graduate from the Art Academy Utrecht. This was a very difficult project to produce, but the result is spectacular. In order to reveal the design of the vase underneath, one must break through the outer vase.

According to Mianne de Vries's website, "If you destroy the vase to find out what's in it, there is no turning back. Don't you dare to take this risk, then you will always stay curious." The question is, would you be willing to take a crack at it?
