Meta Hollywood, an online community for film lovers, has officially partnered with the decentralized metaverse platform The Sandbox to launch a Hollywood-inspired movie studio within the platform's virtual world. In order to build the virtual studio, Meta Hollywood purchased a plot of land in The Sandbox.
According to the company, the virtual studio will host various Hollywood-themed events and will offers guests the opportunity to visit a range of themed backlot studios, including action and horror movie sets. In addition, guests will be able to attend virtual red carpet movie premiers and stop by a movie memorabilia museum.
Currently, Meta Hollywood hasn't announced an official launch date for the new Hollywood-themed metaverse space, though consumers can expect it to go live sometime in the coming weeks.
