Philosophical Residential Skyscrapers

Mercedes-Benz Places is Now Under Construction in Miami

German automobile company Mercedes-Benz introduced its first branded skyscraper in North America dubbed the Mercedes-Benz Places. It is made with the help of ShoP Architects and the concept behind the structure is inspired by the philosophy of 'sensual purity.' The Mercedes-Benz Places is a mixed-used building under construction in Miami and has 67 stories in its plans. It is developed by JDS Development Group and the design studio also works closely with the Mercedes-Benz design team to form the vision.

The Chief Design Officer at Mercedes-Benz, Gordan Wagener explains "Our distinctive style is Sensual Purity. This philosophy, based on the duality of emotion and intelligence, consists of a hot and a cool pole." The team behind the project adds "Mercedes-Benz Places in Miami will transform the Brickell neighborhood. Key to this will be reimagining Southside Park as an urban oasis. With its canopy of trees and native vegetation, such as mango trees and shortleaf figs, the project aims to create a healthy living space.
