Mixed-Use Residential Towers

Vitra by Pininfarina rises along the Balneário Camboriú skyline

The Vitra by Pininfarina is a mixed-use skyscraper designed by Italian design house Pininfarina with local partner LDD Arquitetura and developed by Pasqualotto & GT in the coastal city of Balneário Camboriú, Brazil. The 211.5-metre-tall tower comprises 62 floors of mainly residential use with a base that accommodates public and commercial spaces, articulating a single architectural gesture that contrasts a clear podium with elevated living volumes.

A continuous aluminium frame defines transitions between programmatic zones while the high-performance glass façade maximises daylight for interior spaces and frames views toward the city and nearby coastline. The continuous glass skin is engineered to support thermal performance and wind resistance suitable for the site’s coastal conditions. Residential units are arranged above the public base, with shared amenities including a rooftop sky lounge that offers panoramic vistas of the bay and city. The project forms part of a broader architectural boom in the city’s skyline, which hosts numerous high-rise residential towers along its waterfront.
