Oftentimes intricate and elaborate furniture can appear quite dated and baroque, yet that is definitely not the case with Meg O’Halloran's designs. Refreshingly fancy without being flamboyant, her furniture pieces manage to have modern and minimalist appeal as well. This was achieved through the use of simple yet sweeping lines as well as expert wood carving techniques that are more streamlined than some.

As a seasoned traveler, having lived in Rome, Milan, London, Shanghai, New York, Ithaca and San Francisco, Meg O’Halloran has been able to pool a lot of what she has seen and experienced into her creations. Trained as an architect at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, the 27-year-old industrial designer also incorporates those structural foundations into her designs.
