Mimimat Designs Presents the Borris Collection of Furniture

Mimi Shodeinde from Mimimat Designs presents the Borris Collection, which is a series of furniture that pushes the boundaries of conventional concepts that are rooted in movement. The British-Nigerian designer aims to capture the very moment when stillness settles in the following motion.

She shares, “This collection is about capturing the essence of movement when it ceases. We’re exploring the beauty found in the pause, in those solid, ridged structures that emerge when movement reaches its culmination." There are ten products in the collection -- all of these are defined by brutalist lines and modular capabilities. The structures can be rearranged to suit any space and take on a material palette of ash wood, aluminum, and neo marquina marble.
