The Medicom Toy x PORTER Collab Boasts a Usable Collectible

The Medicom Toy x PORTER collaboration boasts a miniature cup that measures at 4’’ x 5’’. The co-branded product bears playful elements from both labels – while PORTER’s logo is predominantly placed in the rear to “add a punch of visual interest,” the bold yellow ears are a reference to the BE@RBRICK aesthetic.

The Medicom Toy x PORTER is sweet. Its format is a nod to something called ‘Mino Ware’ in Japan. This is an eastern style of pottery “that is crafted by specialists in Gifu Prefecture’s Mino Province.” In this sense, the collaboration maintains a subtle cultural aspect that makes it that much more valuable as a collectible.

The Medicom Toy x PORTER product is appropriately dubbed ‘BE@RMUG’ and it is limited edition. It will be available for ¥3,800 JPY.
