Max Lamb's earlier 'Scrap Poly Pastel' furniture collection was brought in to complement an exhibit at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2016.
The exhibit, 'I Have Left You the Mountain,' was curated by Simon Battisti and Leah Whitman-Salkin in cooperation with the design studio, Åbäke. The space was created to pay tribute to Albania's history of migration which helped to shape the country's democratic political ideology.
In order to highlight this, 'I Have Left You the Mountain' allows visitors to listen and read on this topic as they sit in Max Lamb's furniture. The designer's work gives the exhibit an open and minimalist look while representing the theme of displacement that corresponds with the migration experience -- shown by the furniture's warped structure that incorporates a variety of different shapes.
