The Matsuso T Five Collection Explores an Oddball Number of Edges
Amelia Roblin — February 12, 2014 — Art & Design
While looking at the Matsuso T Five range of furnishings, you might come to realize that many movables tend to embody squared or circular shapes. The five-sided form is actually quite unusual, and this is precisely why Claesson Koivisto Rune opted to design this sort of collection.
The common round shape was merged with the pentagon to create soft edges for the various tabletops and seats. A chair, a stool, a coatrack, a coffee table and a dining table make up the sweet wooden series. With the curved contours about the surfaces and the bent wood backrests, the cute Matsuso T Five collection takes a gentle appearance that would appeal to young and old alike. Without corners, the owner of these piece wouldn't even need to baby proof.
