Mexican design firm Esrawe Studio debuts its exceptionally sophisticated marble furniture designs at the Zona Maco art fair. Titled 'Dolmen,' the collection emphasizes the dark walnut material in credenzas, chairs, dining tables, as well as "a set of lighter white oak seats." The pieces in the 2018 line explore the quest for homeostasis between different natural elements and properties. As lead designer Héctor Esrawe explains, it "exalts the physical properties of stone and wood, creating a tension between the suspended element and the support element."
Esrawe Studio's marble furniture designs have a curious tendency to work as stand alone pieces or as a set. Their smooth and smart appearance highlights the dark walnut and marble material, while still allowing room for customization.
