As desirable as it is to own and wear designer makeup, it ends up being quite expensive—building off of Japan's love of beauty and cosmetics, one one makeup lounge in Tokyo is hoping to make these expensive beauty products much more available to the masses in quite an unusual way.

At the Shinjuku VIP Lounge, women pay 300 yen per hour (about $2.50 USD), which gives them access to all-you-can-apply Chanel makeup, as well as complimentary miso soup from a self-serve dispenser and use of massage machines, fitting rooms and beauty gadgets.

Since all of the cosmetics in the lounge are essentially shared by all the women who enter, the lounge requires that each person pays for applicators separately in order to ensure proper hygiene and prevent makeup from getting contaminated.
