Material-Blending Neutral Furnishings

Demisch Denant Launches the Made in Situ Collection

The new Made in Situ exhibition highlights the inaugural work of French designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance at Demisch Denant. It highlights nature as the main inspiration and does so through intricate materiality. The capsule highlights the designer's personal experience in Portugal where he resided and worked alongside local craftsmen and artisans. The first of the two new collections is Narro Negro, which is a series that is full of handcrafted black ceramics.

The second collection is entitled Burnty Cork and it celebrates Portuguese cork which highlights the ashes of discarded cork that is burnt by forest fires. Duchaufour-Lawrance speaks about the range, stating that "the designed pieces are the fruits of my adventures, explorations of geological and biological textures, patterns, materials and their related techniques. Above all, my inspiration comes from human knowledge and sensitivity, linking to and embedded in each specific place,”
