The M House is Designed for Peace from Neighbors and City Life
Christopher DeLuca — May 18, 2011 — Art & Design
The M House, designed by Kei’ichi Irie + Power Unit Studio, is place of tranquility. The M House is home to three different families with a neighboring school in close proximity for the children.
The refined elegance and contemporary feel really come across with the large window-design at the front the home. The windows look out onto the common area and, as the architect's put it, allow each family to feel the presence of the other families while retaining a sense of privacy.
The contemporary glass facade is contrasted nicely against the rural feeling of the trees. The M House is a remarkable design that creates a space for families who both enjoy the glass concept, but have a desire for privacy.
