BMW Gives The 2027 X3 M50 More Power And A Deeper Exhaust Note

BMW is giving its X3 M50 performance crossover a power boost for 2027, adding 44 hp to its turbocharged straight-six for a total of 437 hp. A revised exhaust brings a deeper sound to match, giving the luxury SUV a little more attitude on the road.

For a darker look, buyers can add the $3,800 Black Package, which brings black 22-inch wheels and an interior featuring Alcantara suede. The wider X3 range also gets a cabin refresh, with a revised dashboard surface ahead of the touchscreen and new ambient lighting around the storage cubby and door handles.

Starting at $67,500 plus destination, the updated X3 M50 brings its extra power as standard, leaving the Black Package as an optional upgrade. The changes keep the crossover’s familiar formula while sharpening its appeal in a segment that includes the Mercedes-AMG GLC53.
