Lush's Hot Oil Treatment Hydrates, Volumizes and Cleanses

Lush Cosmetics is well known for its cruelty-free line of cosmetics and bath products. One of the newest additions to its Hair Treatments line is the hot oil hair treatment. The product looks similar to a popsicle and requires a few steps to follow before using it.

Users must place the product in a heatproof container and bring several ounces of water to a boil. They must then stir the wooden stick into the water until the treatment is completely melted off. Once the product thickens, the texture should be creamy and gooey. Once it's cool enough to touch, users can apply the treatment to dry hair and leave it on for 20 minutes, allowing the ingredients to saturate and replenish their tresses. Any leftovers can last up to four weeks as long as they are covered. Once applied, the product is shampooed out of hair and reapplied once a week.

This DIY home hot oil treatment is the perfect addition to any hair care routine. Lush's oil treatment comes in a variety of scents that all target varying hair concerns in order to achieve different hair goals. Each treatment retails for $10.95-$12.95 per 20g.
