Rainbow-Inducing Furnishings

The Luna Seo 'That Piece of Time' Collection Colorfully Uses Light

The Luna Seo 'That Piece of Time' Collection beautifully reveals the progression of time. The Korean-born Konstfack University Master's student Seo created the collection in order to awaken the extraordinary in a banal day. As the sun shines throughout the day the furniture uses glass prisms and other light-refracting materials to capture it.

As she states on her site, "It is a collaborative work with the sun, since the circulation of the sun is the actual body of time." Using the furniture to reflect the sun transforming the daytime into a lovely rainbow. Every new refraction shows the passage of time and Seo's designs are made in order to cherish these moments that are often overlooked.

The 'That Piece of Time' Collection is being shown at DMY Berlin until June 10th.
