Instructure, the educational technology company best known for its Canvas learning management system, has channelled its Impact in Action community initiative into supporting Louisville Visual Art's Art in Motion youth program.
Louisville Visual Art's Art in Motion youth program is a four-week summer intensive that connected 58 local middle and high school students with professional artists for hands-on creative learning experiences. The program was designed to address the common decline in arts participation as students transition into high school. It offers participants the opportunity to move from concept to creation while exploring how creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving can inform future career paths.
The collaboration with Instructure will will culminate in a runway presentation at InstructureCon 2026, the company's annual conference, where students will showcase wearable artworks crafted from repurposed materials such as newspapers, cardboard, fabric scraps, and plastic tablecloths.
