Lotus Premium Denim (LPD) is a social business that partners with global charities that focus on women and children by donating some sales to those causes. One main philanthropic partner is City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley. "City Year’s mission is to build democracy through citizen service, civic leadership and social entrepreneurship," writes LPD on its website. "It is through service that we can demonstrate the power and idealism of young people, engage citizens to benefit the common good, and develop young leaders of the next generation."

The LPD style -- some vintage-inspired -- is a simple jean fit that is meant to be for professional women. Sarah Coronado is the founder and president and cites inspirations including Oprah and Princess Diana.
