The LOCT Coffee Table is one dynamic piece of furniture. From its bonfire-like leg arrangement to its jagged glass top, this living room table is quite unique. Nevertheless, there is something very minimalist in its design despite its singular silhouette.
Designed by Bersun Erturk (BersErt), the LOCT Coffee Table is so eye-catching that it managed to catch the eyes of the APID (Association of Interior Designers) judges at the FOID (Festival of Interior Design) in United Arab Emirates. They awarded the LOCT Coffee Table 1st prize, the Platinum award. The guidelines of the competition was to design a product or material to be applied in interiors that represented the local theme from the region.
Considering that the LOCT Coffee Table manages to straddle the line between artistically abstract and minimalist mod really proves why it was honored in this way.
