Burrata is such a fresh and tasty ingredient that many chefs opt to simply serve it up with some fresh vegetables, balsamic and olive oil, and some slices of freshly baked bread, but Little J's, a cozy neighborhood restaurant in Houston, is taking a creative spin on those core ingredients. Rather than separating each of those aspects and letting the diner combine them, Little J's chefs do the work ahead of time with one of the most popular summer menu items: the burrata BLT.
As mentioned, most burrata dishes offer some combination of bread, arugula, and tomatoes. Little J's burrata BLT does the same, but it merely places the vegetables on top of two slices of bread toasted and brushed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. One of those slices of bread comes with a thick-cut slice of bacon to complete the BLT trifecta.
