These illustrations by Evan Robertson are well-executed depictions of some of the most famous sayings from iconic literary masters.
Including anecdotes from Ernest Hemingway and Hunter S. Thompson, these nods to historical brilliant minds do justice to those that they pay tribute to. The depiction of Hemingway's famous quote, "stay drunk, edit sober," is perhaps the most on-point and understated works of the series, featuring what appears to be a glass mark. Each of the illustrations is colored exclusively with black and white shades, allowing for the text to speak for itself without being overwhelmed with embellishment.
Throughout these pieces, Robertson manages to add an artistic touch to each quote instead of changing or disrupting the original meaning of the sayings.
